At Holy Spirit Episcopal School, some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the walls of the classroom. Through local field trips, overnight adventures, historical explorations, and international travel, HSES students have opportunities to experience the world firsthand and turn learning into lasting memories.

Our student trips are thoughtfully designed to grow with our students, giving them increasing opportunities to explore new places, develop independence, strengthen friendships, and see their learning come to life.

As students progress through HSES, so does the scope of their travel experience.

Kindergarten–2nd Grade | Discover Our Community

Our youngest students begin their journey through local field trips that bring classroom learning to life. Whether exploring a museum, visiting a cultural destination, experiencing nature, or discovering something new in our own community, these experiences help students make connections between what they learn at school and the world around them.

3rd–6th Grade | Adventures Across Texas

In grades 3–6, students take their learning on the road with overnight trips throughout Texas. These experiences encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, work together, and experience new environments while building confidence and independence.

From exploring Texas history and nature to participating in hands-on educational experiences, these trips create opportunities for students to learn, laugh, problem-solve, and grow together.

7th–8th Grade | History Comes Alive

Our 7th and 8th grade students take a special historical trip to significant destinations such as Boston or Washington, D.C. These experiences allow students to walk through the places they've studied in the classroom and gain a deeper understanding of the people, events, and ideas that have shaped our nation's history.

8th Grade | A Journey to Remember

The 8th grade experience culminates with an international graduation trip, giving students the opportunity to celebrate their years at HSES while experiencing another culture and part of the world. Past international destinations have included London and Costa Rica, offering students unforgettable opportunities to explore new cultures, broaden their perspectives, and experience the world together before beginning their next chapter.

Included in the HSES Experience

At HSES, we believe meaningful learning experiences should be accessible to every student. There are no separate fees for student trips. From local field trips to overnight adventures and international travel, trip expenses are included as part of HSES tuition. Families can enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that these enriching experiences are already part of their child’s HSES education, with no additional trip costs added throughout the year.
