Compete with Heart. Play with Purpose.
At Holy Spirit Episcopal School, athletics are an opportunity for students to discover their strengths, challenge themselves, and grow alongside their teammates. Through participation in team sports, students develop more than athletic skills—they build confidence, resilience, discipline, teamwork, and character.
For our Middle School students in grades 5–8, athletics are an integral part of the school experience. Students have the opportunity to represent HSES in competitive play while learning the value of preparation, sportsmanship, perseverance, and encouraging one another.
Find Your Sport. Find Your Team.
HSES Middle School students participate in athletics through the West Houston Christian Athletic Conference, competing against other area schools throughout the year.
Students can participate in a variety of sports, including:
- Girls' Volleyball
- Boys' Flag Football
- Coed Soccer
- Boys' Basketball
- Girls' Basketball
- Coed Track & Field
- Cheer
With a range of sports offered throughout the year, students have opportunities to try something new, develop their skills, and discover the joy of being part of a team.

More Than a Game
We believe the lessons learned on the court, field, and track extend far beyond game day. Athletics give students opportunities to practice leadership, handle both success and disappointment, work through challenges, and learn how individual effort contributes to something bigger than themselves.
Our coaches encourage students to compete with confidence, lead with integrity, and treat teammates and opponents with respect. Winning matters, but so does how our students play, how they respond to challenges, and how they support one another along the way.
