Mary Pena joins HSES as a Bridge teacher. She previously taught for 9 years in Alief ISD and has spent the last 28 years at St. Francis Episcopal School. Mary earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Houston Baptist (Christian) University. In her free time she enjoys listening to audio books and cooking for her family. Mary says, “For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a teacher. I loved school and learning! One thing I love most about working with children is that every day is a new beginning and you never know what to expect!”
