Our History
Located in Houston’s Memorial area, Holy Spirit Episcopal School was founded in 1962 as a parish day school of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. Set on more than 10 acres, the campus features over 50,000 square feet of learning space and serves students across Early Childhood, Primary, Lower School, and Middle School divisions.
Originally serving children ages three to five, the school has thoughtfully expanded over the years. In 1975, Kindergarten through fifth grade were introduced, followed by the addition of the Child Enrichment Center in 1996 to support infant care. The Middle School opened in 1997, and the first eighth-grade class graduated in 2000, marking an important milestone in the school’s continued growth and commitment to education.
Today, Holy Spirit Episcopal School is a thriving community of more than 400 students and over 100 dedicated faculty members. With enrollment continuing to grow each year, the school remains committed to nurturing academic excellence, character development, and a strong sense of community for generations to come.
