Kelly Broaddus joined HSES as the Library Media specialist in 2019. Over the years, she held several other roles including Head of Lower School before taking over as Head of School in 2022. Ms. Broaddus earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Baylor University, taught middle school language arts for 15 years, and before coming to HSES was the Elementary Director at a Houston-area independent school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching her daughter and son play sports, and attending Astros baseball and Baylor football and basketball games. Other hobbies include reading, watching movies, cooking, baking, and traveling. Actively involved in the community, Mrs. Broaddus volunteers with her church, contributes toward overseas mission efforts, and supports the work of organizations that encourage children to read.
