Amber Carothers works hard to foster a sense of family in her vibrant Pre-K 3 classroom—connecting with her students through read-alouds, singing, patience, a sense of humor, and a firm but loving manner. She joined Holy Spirit in 2001, and has taught three-year-olds almost exclusively since then. Always seeking to be the best teacher possible, Mrs. Carothers has completed hundreds of hours of professional development, including early literacy training with the Rice University School Literacy and Culture program, Neuhaus training, Project-Based Learning workshops, and much more. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English literature, and spends her free time reading, cross-stitching, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, cooking, and watching old movies.
