“Find your passion, and work hard to achieve your goals.” That’s the message underlying every lesson Rebecca Jones shares with her fourth-grade class. Ms. Jones’s teaching career began in Corpus Christi ISD in 1986, and she went on to work at public and private schools in Florida and Houston before joining Holy Spirit in 2013. ESL and GT certified, she actively employs Responsive Classroom techniques in her classroom. She holds a bachelor’s in history and sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys gardening, hiking, reading, spending time at the beach, and designing and crafting original quilts.
