Position Title: Assistant Flag Football Coach, Part-Time
Reports to: Head Flag Football Coach/Athletic Director
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal
Work Hours: 2:45 - 4:30 PM (flexible to accommodate competitions)
Work Calendar: Seasonal - Fall Season (August - October)
Job Summary: The Assistant Flag Football Coach is responsible for supporting the Flag Football Head Coach in creating a well-rounded knowledge of physical conditioning and skill development methods specific to the sport. Responsibilities include adherence to all school, association, and conference policies regulating participation in sports.

Primary Tasks
- Works collaboratively with the Head Flag Football Coach on practice sessions and competition strategies.
- Models and instills the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all team members
- Provide athletic guidance to students.
- Executes practice plans and runs high quality, efficient and productive practice sessions.
- Helps coordinates all aspects of the sport program including program culture.
- Assists with uniform and equipment distribution, orders and inventory.
- Participates in scheduling, planning and travel arrangements for away competitions.
- Participates in mandatory pre-season parent and coaches’ meetings.
- Communicates weekly with parents on practice and competition schedules, location and times.
- Assists with after practice carpool.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Coaching experience at the middle school or high school level preferred; independent school coaching experience preferred; Playing experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
- Possess the attributes necessary to lead and develop players and teams in a professional manner while modeling good sportsmanship
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills, including the ability to relate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Occasionally, lifts up to 30 pounds.
- Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate.
- May work in varied, extreme outside weather conditions during school events, special activities, and fundraising events.
- Visual acuity both near and far
- Ability to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive information through oral communications.
- Is able to stoop, bend, kneel, stand, walk, and reach.
