ATHLETICS AND YOUTH SPORTS
Holy Spirit Episcopal School athletes learn to serve within a team while developing leadership skills that can be used on and off the court or playing field. Athletics are an important part of a student’s physical, mental, and spiritual education. Student athletes learn the importance of hard work and determination while demonstrating his or her personal best. Developing athletic skills, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities are major objectives of the athletic program with the goal of fostering enjoyment and continued involvement in athletics as a life-long pursuit.
Middle School students in grades 5 through 8 are eligible for Varsity and Junior Varsity Athletics. Our younger athletes, ages 4 years through 4th grade, are invited to participate in Youth Sports through the West Houston Christian Sports Association (WHSA).

Youth Sports teams participate in balanced, but competitive league play for basketball, baseball, softball, and t-ball. The HSES Youth Sports Program is designed to help students develop athletic skills, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities while fostering enjoyment and a continued involvement in athletics as a life-long pursuit.
Parent involvement is important to the success of the Youth Sports Program. Teams are coached by parent volunteers in partnership with team parents, who offer additional support. HSES Youth Sports Program is a member of the West Houston Christian Sports Association.
