lower school

Holy Spirit's trademark is our well-rounded student body. The faculty challenges our students to excel academically, resulting in their placement in many top tier schools. However, our faculty view academics as only one part of a student's potential. Creative expression, athleticism, and spiritual growth are also encouraged and developed. As a result, Holy Spirit produces some of the most comfortable students when it comes to public performances, multiple sports, and serving others.

Lower School spans kindergarten through fourth grade. The curriculum is based on the core subjects of language arts, science, math and social studies. Spanish, music, physical education and Christian education are also offered in the lower school program. Computers are used both in the classrooms and the computer lab as a multi-purpose tool for everything from drawing to research. Students are given opportunities for creative expression, creative writing and art throughout the curriculum.

Service outreach programs are offered through chapel, class and student council directed projects. In addition, field trips and outdoor education create programs that offer "learning by doing." By developing and acquiring strong learning skills, the Holy Spirit student is well prepared for middle school.
