Child Enrichment Center
Infants–Toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years)
The Child Enrichment Center (CEC) provides a warm, loving Christian environment in which Holy Spirit Episcopal School’s youngest students can grow and explore the world around them. The curriculum for these students, whose ages range from 6 weeks to 2 ½ years of age, is centered around age-appropriate development activities and social interaction. The small number of children in each classroom and the low ratio between instructors and students ensures that the children receive individual nurturing and attention. Care is provided each weekday from 7 am to 6 pm throughout the year. Flexible scheduling is available to meet the needs of our families.
Infants (6 weeks to 11 months)
Focus is placed on consistent and loving responsiveness to each infant’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Activities in the Infant Room include multi-sensory stimulation, gross and fine motor skill development, and exploratory play.
Mobile Infants (11 to 18 months)
Little ones in this age group are very busy learning about mobility through walking and running! Other development goals of these classrooms are encouragement of self-feeding, awareness of others, and basic vocalization skills. The classroom environment is rich with possibilities to explore through music, play, storytelling, and outdoor activities.
Toddlers (18 to 36 months)
Before-and-After-School Care (Grades K through 8)
A variety of enrichment programs are offered to Holy Spirit students through the Child Enrichment Center. These programs include karate, piano, tumbling, dance, computer, and “Marvelous Math”. These programs allow the children to participate in extracurricular activities in a supervised setting.
