One of Holy Spirit's core values is experiential education-learning by doing. In keeping with our belief that students learn better when they are active participants in the discovering, Holy Spirit has put together programs that enrich our curriculum without being a daily part of it. The Costa Rican Cultural Exchange Program and Project Ecolink, the school's outdoor education program, are two of such programs.

Both programs take students out of the classroom and offer opportunities for both exploration and discovery. The Costa Rican Cultural Exchange allows students to be immersed in another culture, living with Costa Rican families, speaking Spanish, and exploring another part of the world as well as hosting a Costa Rican peer here. Project Ecolink takes students to some of the most beautiful outdoor areas and teaches them basic outdoor skills. Students learn the value of teamwork and discover that they are capable of greater physical and mental stamina than perhaps previously thought.
